life is short.

This morning as I walked to get coffee I saw a homeless man collapse into the street. A woman and I ran over to help him. As he began convulsing, I called 911. Over the next 15 minutes I held the man as he went into two more violent seizures, vomiting over himself. He seemed so close to death. A woman came over and when I asked her to help, she refused to touch the man.
Only one other person came to help. Even the paramedics seemed to be in no hurry to help a homeless man.

We've lost our humanity.

Enjoy life, and those around you. They'll be gone before you know it.
